What does SMD stand for?
SMD (Studentenmission in Deutschland) is a network of Christian students and professionals in Germany. It is part of IFES (International Fellowship of Evangelical Students) and Diakonie Deutschland.
We are therefore cross-generational.

We as students are part of the Hochschul-SMD which consists of 73 individual groups all over Germany (Effective February 2016). Every group stands independently of one another but they are all related to the Hochschul-SMD-association which provides inputs and materials as well as regional advisors who support different groups within a certain area. We as students lead our local groups on our own and are financed through donations by former smd fellows and supporters.
In addition to that several vacation camps are offered regularly in summer and over New Year’s and every two years the so called studikon is taking place (a conference where students from all over Germany gather together).
